Recently... my previous client asked me to refund his money even its already finished over a month ago. So I contacted with Kayla B from the freelancer.com support team. And She kindly explained me about the situation and she tried many things on my behalf. I think that this problem will be solved perfectly by her effort. I really appreciate her support. I have been on Upwork's Top Rated Program and have been a freelancer since 2010. Every time I have tried to work via freelancer.com I have been disappointed and I feel scammed. Long story short, they refuse to actually resolve any of my issues, communication is poor and they will not let me withdraw my earned money even though my identity has already been verified. To think, I actually paid them a monthly subscription! I have proof of my verified status with this platform, proof I was able to withdraw already, and copies of all correspondence. There is always some issue with them, but rest assured they charge my card and deduct their fees from my balance without a problem. I'm done trying to give them a chance, it is a horrible marketplace for hardworking freelancers, especially if you live in the US. I have just filed complaints with various government bodies in Australia and will file more as I see which avenues are best for this situation. I will not stop until I get justice because this is much bigger than me or the money I earned. This is for everyone out there that has been cheated, manipulated, chewed up and spit out by freelancer.com. They are sneaky scammers and will continue if this goes on unchecked. I have since seen the forums riddled with unfortunate stories. Freelancer.com has interfered with our livelihoods and must be held accountable.

I am working at this site from 2013 and now all of a sudden freelancer.com admin has closed my account without any notification or prior information. They even have not send me any mail before or after closing my account.
I have generated ticket to contact their support and they have not taken my complaint seriously and just replied that you have violated the terms. They have not specific that which term or policy I have violated? I have asked them again and again that tell me where i was wrong so that I should know what i have done wrong but they replied nothing.
I am really shocked with this attitude of freelancer. I have earned good reputation there with 270+ reviews and have done really hard work to make my clients satisfy.
This action of freelancer have ruined my efforts of last 5-6 years.
Other than loosing my well build profile and clients i also have not access to my funds there. I have my funds of 400+ on their site. But they are not allowing me to sign in and that's why I am unable to get those funds in my hand.
My ID was 100% completed and verified. Then why this company has closed my account. If i made some wriong act then at least they should give me warning before closing of account or they can give me any kind of penalty. But how can they close my account without any kind of information?
Its 4th day that i am trying to contact from different ways but they are not taki9ng my ticket seriously and not responding to it.
I will wait for another 24 hrs and if they will not respond then of course I will be giving negative review to this company at all platforms.
I am attaching screenshot of my Email. It can be seen that how many reminders i have sent them to respond me and tell me where I have made mistake.
In other image it can be seen that they just replied that I have violated their policy. But they have not have any proof and have not specified the mistake I did.

Little disappointed by service charge everytime we deposit funds and when the milestone is accepted... please dont make us pay all the time.
Unfortunately, the two freelancers I awarded my project to were only interested in driving the price up without any real work being done. One even changed the name of the person who the project had been awarded to. Not sure if ths website is as trustworthy as it makes out to be.

I spent hours upon hours writing articles for an employer on freelancer.com They paid my fees to freelancer.com but then freelancer.com without warning banned them from the site and are withholding any money that should have been paid to me. I tracked down the employer as they told me to do, he hasn't been refunded any money like they told me he had been. They basically told me it's up to me to chase him despite the fact that all invoices were done through freelancer.com I intend on putting in a complaint with consumer affairs.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it. Go elsewhere, try upwork or fiverr.
