Over several months ago, after I received a late fee, I called to complain that I never received a card or correspondence with my account number so I could set up autopay. The rep said he would send me what I needed but would set up the autopay for me. Well, I never received anything and the autopay was only set up for 3 months! So, I called AGAIN, and there was another late fee!+ I tried to explain this different circumstance but the rep just kept going on about I already received my time allowed to take off late fee! I paid it off, closed the account, and will never shop Overstock again!
DO NOT BUY anything large from overstock.com! I bought shower doors a month ago, today... exactly 4 weeks later they cancelled the order saying no stock. REALLY? How come its showing you have 9 in stock and I can verify it with a phone call to your customer service people. I asked for a supervisor and all he could say was I will investigate it and Sorry. Called me back to say Sorry again...You will have to reorder it again and wait another 4 weeks. WTF you guys suck

Overstock contacted me after this review & sent me the replacement parts at no charge to me. They had to send me another dresser for me to get the parts I need and return the rest, but they paid for the shipping. Their pro-active actions have changed my opinion & I will now continue doing business with them in the future.

This should be a zero star. I bought a dresser from them, and it came with a broken plastic leg. It also had horrible assembly instructions and quite difficult to do - took 4 hours. When I stood the dresser up another leg broke. I went to their website and requested replacement parts. Never heard back so I had to call them. They said it would cost me $28 to get replacement parts plus shipping. I told them that that's unacceptable, so I wanted a return & refund. They told me I would have to pay the return shipment label of $240. Basically, they accept no responsibility for their cheap products. I wrote a review like this one on their website for this product & they removed it. So, their reviews are censored. I will never do business with them ever and you should not either.

Received an order today expecting a 3 pc dinette set and instead receive 2 chairs. When my 83 yr old mother searched their site gor a 3 pc dinette this item popped up. She fid not realize it was only 2 chairs. Called them to buy the correct item and return the incorrect item (unopened). They informed my mom they were going to charge her $31 to return a $120 item. This is unacceptable. They should change their name to overcharge! Or overpromise, under deliver!
Bed, Bath, and Beyond (Overstock.com) refuses to delete any of my information, including the credit card on file and account on the website. They claim they need everything stored for 4 years for business purposes.
I understand the info on the internal database cannot be deleted for tax related reasons, but under the California Consumer Privacy Act, BBB is required delete any information that they can. No other company has refused this request.
If you face this problem, contact the attorney General and https://cppa.ca.gov/webapplications/complaint to voice your concern over BBB storing your personal information.
Once again, Bed, Bath, and Beyond (Overstock.com) is refusing to delete any of my information at all.
Overstock does not vet the independent sellers they have on their platform and they do not monitor their behavior either. Sellers can ghost buyers and avoid the return process by simply replacing buyers names with (null)(null). If this is done, a return cannot be started through the website.
Want to report a seller? There is no reporting system.
Overstock sold their customers out.

Don’t buy. Overstock does not vet sellers or monitor them. Sellers on Overstock site can ghost you and block the return process by putting your name as (null)(null) in the system. No way to report bad sellers.
I will never buy from this company again, received my dining room table in Aug and today Oct 7 still waiting for missing part. I've been calling since then with no results or able to talk to corporate or supervisor Z they claim there is none. Now trying to return and haven't heard from them. Please do your homework before buying from this company I usually don't write reviews and if I do it's always a good one but in this case I feel you should know what it's like.
I purchased a side board with a price of $349.00. With their magic coupons I paid $314.99. After 5 days and delivery of a 140 lbs item the coupon price changed to $262.49. That's a $50.00 difference. When you complain they first blame it on 3rd party seller and after a week of calls and texts tell me they can't adjust price. You have to keep repeating your problem to some AI live robot and they just respond the same each time I will never purchase from them again. Amazon always handles any issues.
Do not buy a mattress from Overstock or probably anything from Overstock unless you are 100% certain you will keep it! I bought a queen Slumber Solutions mattress in plush. The mattress is NOT plush but VERY firm. I can't return it or get a refund because I opened it. Please tell me the heck am I supposed to know your mattress sucks if I don't open it?! If I knew the product you sell sucks, do you really think I would have bought it to begin with?!

They're mostly good but one thing prevents them from being a 4 or 5 stars company, their return policy.
I bought a chair, it arrived and was total trash, had a yellow stain on on the white center, legs were uneven, just garbage but on top of that, I get banged out for $22 to return it.
With the risk of an online purchase not meeting expectations,I won't be buying anything again from Overstock if I'm on the hook for shipping costs.

I ordered a couch and it never came and they told me someone dropped off outside my apartment door. (As if a couch is something that someone would just leave outside an apartment door) I have a picture of them telling me that they left it outside my house. (This is a 920 dollar couch) They won't give me my money back and now I'm going through a credit card dispute. Whoever is considering using them should know that giving them money is exactly like doing a Facebook deal- you run your risk of paying for something that you won't get. This is beyond aggravating and time consuming. It's now at the point where I'm tape recording phone calls with them and taking pictures of conversations with them should I need to file a lawsuit. This is a very upsetting situation.
I bought a Vilano bike for $405 from OVERSTOCK and it was damaged, called them and was told they would replace it. Liars big time. So they play games, cant find my order everytime i call, then after many calls and emails they want to give me $15 credit and refuse to replace it. I want a new bike because i paid for a new bike not damaged goods. Stay away from Overstock they will burn you nowadays. I wouldnt even give them 1 star.

Beware I bought a wool rug from Overstock that carried clothes moths. Fast forward thousands of dollars in remediation and the problem is still present. Overstock will not take full responsibility and initially asked me to hold onto rug as they wanted it returned during which time the moths laid eggs and caused a massive infestation. They don't check the rugs before they send it out. Horrible company!
Product I received had missing parts. We tried to buy some from hardware but two major crossbars are missing. Now they say we don't have the parts, take the whole thing apart, find a box and pay the postage to send it back to us. If it is this bad, and you can't fix it then send a new one. You get various coupons, many which are expired. How is it fair to charge different people different amounts for the same product. My other purchase which was a vacuum was of poor quality and seemed used. What does Overstock mean anyway. I think it means over the hill, over priced, over hyped but definitely not over any expectations. Extremely disappointed and will never use this website or company for purchases. I will let my consumer friends know why I have been so frustrated and outraged by the service that seems nice but accomplishes absolutely nothing. How embarrassing.
I have been buying from them during a year. There are some nice products on their website. But after I ordered a dinning chair I was disappointed. It came broken! It's a pity that they send such products to the regular customers.
I will update my horrible review depending on the response received from either the manufacture or Overstock. I placed an order for this sofa in September, but it was delivered in November. They say that both companies only provde a thiry day warranty and I missed the deadline. I am going to let the pictures speak for themselves.
Item arrived with some damages but we were still able to put the couch togehter, a month later the entire thing started falling apart. Pieces will not stay connected, a foot rest will not go back down, one of the backs won't stay up. This couch is a hot mess. Lol
I called Overstock who won't do anything yet and say I have to take it up with the manufacture. I contact the manufacture and they gave me a customer service email saying they had no number to call... so yeah let's wait and see if they will help make this right with me or if I am just freaking screwed out of two grand for a hunk of junk.
Bought 8 curtain panels. Seven (7) were the right size and one (1) was not. All were packaged with the same item number so the problem was at the China factory. Did a chat with Overstock, told them it was not their fault, it was packaged wrong. Problem, overstock should have just SENT ME the correct panel. INSTEAD they created a whole return process that would take my time, two delivery times and their warehouse personnel working twice. Where is their logic? Who knows, sticking with Amazon.
I received my bookcase without any hardware at all. It's been over 10 days trying to just get the parts to me. Now they are saying they will reach out to the company to see if they are available. They said to save the packaging! Wait! What? That was discarded when I first started the project! Worst company ever! Will NEVER ORDER AGAIN! $250 WASTED! Save your money. Buy local!
Buyers Beware! I have been an Overstock customer for a number of years but have now deleted my account because of poor customer service and anti-customer return policies (as well as much higher pricing than other vendors). I requested to speak to a customer service manager via email and in phone calls several times to discuss their return policy which I believe was not properly followed in my return. The CSR ignored my request on the phone and my emails were ignored. Again, buyers beware!

Been trying to get a refund for 2 chairs that never came for days now. Been on hold over ten times for hours and they can't even find a supervisor within their own company. Overstock took $220 off my debit and won't return any $ although no item came and they want you to talk directly with an outside vendor. Overstock is horrible to deal with.

Literally one of the worst companies on planet earth. Not only do they take six weeks to deliver what they guaranteed would be there in two - when they finally show up, they fail to set up what they were paid extra to do. Then, instead of making it right and immediately sending someone out to set the stuff up, they refund your set up money, leaving you with giant, unmovable boxes in your living room. Will never do business with these apathetic, obtuse creeps again.

This is an average canvas but it did not match my room the way I thought it would. So, I decided to return it and keep looking. When I went through the process of requesting a return and printing the return label for $26.00, I learned it would cost me $26.00, the canvas cost $79.00. With the cost to return, it's almost not worth returning the item. I'm very disappointed. I was not totally disappointed in Overstock at that time. But, as I wrote a review, it was denied. So, you can't even write a review on your true experience. Now I won't purchase from them.
It is impossible to cancel an order at overstock.com. As soon as you hit the buy button, you are stuck. Your only option is to receive the item and then return it at your own expense.
If you try to cancel your order, you send an email. It can take hours to days to receive the "No" response. The reason "your order has been sent to the warehouse already for processing….
Even if it is within minutes, even if the fedex number says that only has a label been created, but hasn't shipped. No matter what, you can't cancel an order.
